EMPLOYMENT LAW

The firm’s attorneys have defended over 200 employment-related claims at the administrative level, in both federal and state courts, and through private binding arbitrations. These claims have been varied, alleging:

  • Wrongful termination
  • Constructive discharge
  • Sexual harassment
  • Retaliation
  • Gender discrimination
  • Age discrimination
  • Sexual orientation discrimination
  • Disability discrimination, and
  • Wage and hour violations

Clients of the firm include both private and public entity employers. A substantial number of our clients are universities, colleges and secondary schools, as well as a number of non-profit and religious organizations.

Attorneys in the firm are experienced in conducting fact-finding investigations for employers regarding possible claims of Labor Code violations, hostile workplace claims, or other sensitive issues.

Employment cases are typically fact and document intensive. The firm’s approach is to assign one of two partners to a claim or lawsuit from inception to conclusion. That attorney then personally works with the client in all aspects of pleadings, discovery, pre-trial motions and trial, if necessary.
